The short version

  • The content of your QR codes never leaves your browser.
  • No account required: we collect no personal data — except your email if you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter.
  • Audience measurement only runs with your consent, and refusing never limits access to the site.
  • We never sell or share any data.

1. The QR code generator

QR code generation happens entirely in your browser (client-side JavaScript). The information you enter — web addresses, WiFi passwords, vCard details, phone numbers, messages — is never sent to our servers, stored, or analyzed. The tool even works offline once the page is loaded.

2. Local history

For convenience, the tool can keep a history of your recent QR codes. This history is stored only in your browser's localStorage, on your device. We cannot access it, and you can clear it at any time from the tool or by clearing your browser data.

3. Cookies and visit statistics

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse audience measurement. Nothing is activated before you choose, and your choice is remembered on your device (localStorage).

  • If you accept: an audience measurement tool is activated to count visitors and page views. This aggregated data is used solely to improve the site.
  • If you refuse: no measurement runs, and the site remains fully accessible, with no restriction whatsoever.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter (form at the bottom of the page), we keep only your email address and language, to occasionally send you tips and product news. This address is never sold or shared. You can request unsubscription and deletion of your address at any time via the Contact page.

5. Hosting

The site and the blog's editorial content are hosted with established professional hosting providers. These providers process only the standard technical logs (HTTP requests) required to operate and secure the service.

6. Your rights

Since VixQR collects no personal data through its tool, there is in practice no data about you to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us by email, you can request the deletion of that exchange at any time.
