Terms of Use
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using the VixQR website (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the service
VixQR is a free QR code generator that runs in your browser, together with a blog of practical guides. The Service is provided without registration and free of charge.
3. Your QR codes belong to you
The QR codes you generate with VixQR are yours and may be used freely, with no attribution required. Such use is however at your sole and entire responsibility: VixQR exercises no control over the encoded content or over how the codes are used, and shall not be associated in any way with its users' projects, products, or services. Because the codes are static, they do not depend on VixQR to work: they would remain readable even if this site disappeared.
4. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Service to encode or distribute:
- phishing links, malware, or scams;
- illegal or defamatory content, or content infringing third-party rights;
- any content designed to deceive the person scanning the code.
You are solely responsible for the content you encode in your QR codes and for how you use them.
5. Intellectual property
The site's editorial content (articles, guides, illustrations, the VixQR brand) is protected by copyright. You may quote it with a link to the source; full reproduction without permission is prohibited.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied: no warranty of availability, freedom from errors, fitness for a particular purpose, or readability of the generated codes by every device and scanning app. Always test your QR codes before any use, distribution, or print run. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of VixQR disclaims all liabilityfor any damage of any kind, direct or indirect — including, without limitation: loss of data, loss of revenue or opportunities, commercial or reputational harm, unreadable or misprinted codes, content encoded by users or third parties, interruption or unavailability of the Service — resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Service. If your jurisdiction does not allow such an exclusion, the publisher's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you do not accept this clause, your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the publisher of VixQR from and against any third-party claim, action, demand, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal and attorney fees) arising from the content you encode, the QR codes you distribute, or, more generally, your use of the Service in violation of these terms or of the law.
9. General disclaimer
The content published on VixQR (articles, guides, FAQ, descriptions) is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, legal, or technical advice, nor a guarantee of results, and may contain inaccuracies or become outdated. Any external links are provided for your convenience: the publisher does not control their content and does not endorse them. VixQR is an independent tool, with no affiliation with the brands, products, or services its users choose to associate with their QR codes.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one published on this page, with its last-updated date. By continuing to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
